History

December 1972 General meeting held for the establishment of the Real Estate Guarantee Association. Uichi Noda named first chairman.
September 1973   Approval and designation received from the Ministry of Construction.
October 1973   First reimbursement guarantee funds deposited with the Tokyo Legal Affairs Bureau by the association.
March 1975   General guarantee system established as a voluntary regulatory measure to further enhance consumer protections and improve the social standing of the industry.
November 1980   Contributed to and cooperated in the Real Estate Transaction Modernization Center Foundation, which was established to modernize the industry.
December 1980   With revisions to ordinances due to the eighth round of amendments to the Building Lots and Buildings Transaction Business Law, there was a change in the amount of reimbursement guarantee funds, so additional funds for this purpose were deposited.
May 1982   Ceremony held commemorating Zennichi's 10th anniversary.
September 1983   As a joint project between Zennichi and the Real Estate Guarantee Association, a team was sent to the United States to survey the real estate industry there.
January 1984   Office computers introduced to raise the efficiency of administrative processes (member management, management of membership dues, deposit management, reimbursement, etc.).
August 1984   Contributed to and cooperated in the Real Estate Transaction Improvement Organization, which was established to work to develop and strengthen systems for the prevention of grievances and disputes before they occur.
December 1984   Joined the Japan Association of Real Estate Sciences in an effort to advance scholarship related to real estate. The association was established to help facilitate academic progress and improve the lives of the general public.
September 1985   As a joint project between Zennichi and the Real Estate Guarantee Association, a team was sent to the United States for a second time to survey the real estate industry there.
February 1986   Contributed to and cooperated in the Condominium Management Center, which was established to conduct appropriate guidance and consultations on condominium management as well as to conduct efficient management of repair funds and provide information necessary to that end.
January 1987   Deposit guarantee services started. (Established for the purpose of working for the safety of transactions through the implementation of a system to insure deposits on property sold via agencies and registered with a distribution organization accredited by Zennichi, and for the purpose of enhancing the functions of the Real Estate Guarantee Association.)
May 1987   Ceremony held commemorating the association's 15th anniversary. Letter of appreciation received from the Minister of Construction for organizational excellence.
November 1988   The 10th round of amendments to the Building Lots and Buildings Transaction Business Law sought to enhance transactional guarantees. The amount of reimbursement guarantee funds was raised, so additional deposits were made.
Deposit custodial services started. (System whereby deposits, etc. are received on behalf of the real estate company (full member of the association) representing the seller in accordance with the provisions of Article 64.3 of the Building Lots and Buildings Transaction Business Law and held until the property passes hands and the change of ownership is registered.)
March 1990   Applied to the Ministry of Construction to approve the addition of new residential houses, new condominiums, and residential lots to the scope of deposit guarantee services, which had covered only existing residential houses and existing condominiums.
January 1991   Articles of association partially amended and a system of directors instituted.
July 1991   Contributed financial support to Zennichi in its promotion of an educational program for real estate managers (Zennichi Real Estate Academy) aimed at improving quality, qualifications and reliable management, and helped make the program a success.
March 1992   As a measure to bolster training programs, active implementation of audio-visual education was initiated and the development and utilization of training videos started.
November 1992   Real Estate Guarantee Academy established to foster leading talent due to the need in recent years for a greater breadth of knowledge and skills for real estate transactions.
Ceremony held commemorating the association's 20th anniversary. Letter of appreciation received from the Minister of Construction for organizational excellence.
March 1993   Training video developed for the purpose of educating people and disseminating information on the deposit custodial system.
April 1994   Real Estate Guarantee Academy sessions held.
June 1994   Decision made to construct Zennichi Kaikan.
October 1994   Land acquired for the construction of Zennichi Kaikan.
November 1994   Real Estate Seminar held.
January 1995   Housing relief consultation desks, earthquake damage hotlines, and other programs established in the aftermath of the Kobe earthquake. Housing and monetary contributions provided to victims.
October 1996   Construction completed on Zennichi Kaikan.
January 1997   Ceremonies held commemorating Zennichi's 25th anniversary and completion of Zennichi Kaikan.
March 1998   Association website launched.
January 2001   Ceremony held commemorating the association's 30th anniversary.
March 2001   50 Years of Zennichi, 30 Years of the Real Estate Guarantee Association published.
March 2003   Tochigi Chapter established.
April 2003   Integrated accounting software implemented.
March 2004   Yamanashi Chapter established.
August 2004   Fukui Liaison Office established.
March 2006   Okinawa Chapter established.
